Music Lessons

Dual language academy offers private music lessons for children of all ages. Our music teacher at the academy graduated from the Nikolaev National University with a major in Music in 1984. She has experience in teaching to play the piano as well as voice coaching for singing.

Why is music/piano education is so importat?

  • Music has always been linked to having a positive effect on children's development.
  • Playing the piano will teach your child structure, discipline and motivation.
  • Children are encouraged to promote their talents during their lessons.
  • Tactile, fine motor skills and coordination are also targeted during piano playing.
  • While your child studies notes they are also memorizing the location of the piano keys, subconsciously teaching their mind to focus on several things at once.
  • Individuals playing the piano have a high level of patience and a raised self esteem due to seeing their efforts pay off after they have accomplished new songs.
  • As adults they can become talented well rounded individuals.

"In the study, University of Kansas Medical Center Researchers found that older adults (ages 60 to 83) who took music lessons as children performed better on memory and brain function tests (including naming objects and managing time) than those who didn't have lessons. Even better: Those benefits were evident even if the adults hadn't continued to play music as adults.
Still, the researchers note, the earlier individuals started their lessons and the longer they played, the bigger the anti-aging benefits in the brain appeared to be. The researchers theorize that the years-long challenge of learning to read and play music creates alternate connections in the brain that compensate for cognitive declines in later years."
